Obonsawin-Irwin Consulting Inc.

Established in 1981, Obonsawin-Irwin Consulting Inc. provides management consulting services designed to increase Aboriginal control of Aboriginal programs and services.  O.I.’s work with not-for-profit organizations and government includes strategic planning, program evaluation and organizational development.  O.I.’s experience in conducting large- and small-scale projects dates back to 1978, when the principals of the firm were individually involved in coordinating the Ontario Task Force on Urban Natives. This was a participatory research project involving 36 Aboriginal communities in Ontario.  As a firm, they have continued this approach and have coordinated major evaluation projects over the years.
